Clair Obscur Open Brief

The Clair Obscur Open Brief plays with contrast in exactly the way its name suggests.

At the front, graphic openwork lace is framed by panels of sheer black tulle, creating a clean, low-rise silhouette with just enough transparency to make the construction part of the design.

From behind, everything changes.

The brief opens dramatically through the centre back, leaving the body exposed between two sharply cut panels of tulle and lace. A suspender-style clasp holds the opening at the waistband, adding a small flash of gold and turning a functional fastening into the focal point of the piece.

The sides are adjustable too, allowing the fit to be refined rather than fixed — an important detail on a brief this minimal, where every line needs to sit exactly where it should.

It is bold, but beautifully controlled: sheer tulle against graphic lace, clean black lines against skin, and just enough gold hardware to punctuate the whole thing.
